NN PROJECT

このコーヒーテーブルは、COVID-19の自粛期間中にハンドメイドで製作し、創造性とモノづくりの楽しさの再確認しました。自宅で過ごす時間が長くなる中、モノづくりに没頭することは私たちの心を満たし、この困難な時期を乗り越えるための一助となりました。

素材に選んだ木材が水に浮かんでいるような表現をするためにエポキシ樹脂を注ぎ半透明に仕上げました。この樹脂部分は光を通すことで、テーブルに深みと動きを与え、まるで水深があり静かに水の上を木が漂っているかのような錯覚を生み出します。

このコーヒーテーブルは製作自体にも楽しさがあり、自粛期間中に自宅の部屋で自然を感じることにも一役買っています。

This coffee table was handcrafted during the COVID-19 self-quarantine period, serving as a reaffirmation of our creativity and the joy of craftsmanship. As the time spent at home increased, immersing ourselves in crafting was a fulfilling endeavor that helped us overcome this challenging period.

The chosen material, wood, was designed to appear as if floating on water by pouring in epoxy resin and finishing it semi-transparently. This resin portion, allowing light to pass through, gives depth and movement to the table, creating an illusion as though there is depth in the water and the wood is quietly floating on it.

The creation of this coffee table was a joy in itself, and it has also played a role in providing a sense of nature in the room at home during the self-quarantine period.
